The Chief Delivery Officer’s role reflects a wide range of duties including leading our system’s work to improve waiting times in urgent and emergency and elective care, developing key annual operational plans including the system winter plan as well as developing and leading the system digital strategy.

After graduating, Faith joined the NHS and has worked in a number of acute Trusts in senior roles in London and the South with over 20 years’ experience.  She has a strong background in senior operational management and performance management having been a Director of Performance.  She joined Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2017 as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and was appointed to Chief Operating Officer in May 2019. Faith took up the position of Interim Chief Executive in October 2023.

Faith is expected to take up the role in March following handover from the ICB’s current Chief Delivery Officer Mandy Nagra.

Reacting to her appointment, Faith said: “I’m delighted to be joining Birmingham and Solihull and to have the opportunity to build on the foundations laid since the integrated care board’s inception. Having set out a vision for a radical new way of delivering health and care as close to our citizens' homes as possible, it’s a really exciting time for me to be joining the system.”

David Melbourne, Chief Executive, NHS Birmingham and Solihull said: “On behalf of all of our partners across the health and care system, I would like to a extend warm welcome to Faith.

“The next year will be critical for our system as we build on progress tackling delivery challenges in areas like long waits and access to urgent and emergency care. I know colleagues will benefit greatly from the wealth of delivery, senior leadership and transformation experience that Faith will undoubtedly bring to the role.

“I’d also like to thank our outgoing Chief Delivery Officer Mandy Nagra for her dedication and passion in the role. Mandy has been instrumental in our system’s recovery following the pandemic and we all wish her well for the future.”
