To support the introduction of several important system updates across Birmingham and Solihull, we have hosted a series of short webinars for general practice teams.

The aim of these sessions is to ensure colleagues are aware of the latest developments designed to support high-quality patient care and simpler day-to-day working, including updates to referrals, clinical pathways, diagnostic requesting, and patient information resources.

The slides below have been prepared for healthcare teams across primary and secondary care and summarise the key changes introduced during the webinars, including:

  • The SMART referral and Advice and Guidance process.
  • The Clinical Pathways Resource Hub and how to access local guidance.
  • Changes to the ICE pathology interface.
  • The updated vitamin D testing policy and available patient resources.
  • Awareness of community diagnostic centres (CDCs).
